Lessons include:

  • Warm Ups

    We develop a customized warmup routine with you to fit your goals and current level. Most warmups include long tones and tounging exercises. Both are fundamental to developing a good embouchure and tone.

  • Scales

    Scales are the building blocks of music. We discuss scales and their importance to our system of music theory. We review scales as appropriate to your level.

  • Technique

    You learn the appropriate technique for your instrument through a lesson book. Your instructor will suggest a lesson book at your first meeting.

  • Repertoire

    Students have the opportunity to apply their instrument techniques through appropriate songs. We empower the students to find songs that fit their interests at every opportunity.

  • Practicing

    Independent practice is an important part of progress. Every student receives a detailed list of what to practice during the week. We make sure during your lesson you feel comfortable with what’s expected.

  • Performing

    We pride ourselves on our recitals three times per year. We encourage all students to come and perform. It is a great way to meet other students around the world!

Join us for recurring 30-minute 1:1 lessons in flute, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon, trombone, or piano through the Outschool platform.
