Katherine Fox
Katherine Fox has taught flute, clarinet, and saxophone lessons for over fifteen years. She is a professional multi-instrumentalist who has played in the Detroit [Michigan] area for countless musical productions. She has Bachelor of Music degrees in Clarinet Performance and Instrumental Music Education, as well as a Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology.
Her students are leaders in their band and orchestra programs who achieve high ratings at festivals. They have a wide range of ages, backgrounds, exceptionalities, and ability levels. Her lessons are customized, positive, focused, goal-based, and challenging so each student reaches their fullest potential.
Laura Boor
Hi! I'm Laura Boor, and I have been a private flute teacher for 23 years. I love to play the flute, and I always tell my students we need to work smarter, not harder. I love finding different techniques that can help us learn quicker and more efficient ways of learning. I studied flute performance at Oakland University, and have worked in the Metro Detroit area as a teacher and performer for the past 20 years. I also work for All Elite Wrestling (AEW)'s music department as Orchestral Editor. I am married, have a 10-year-old (who is learning bassoon!), and a dachshund puppy named Klaus who is my everything. I love to teach, and have been teaching on Zoom this entire pandemic, and I am so excited to work with you!
